Now that the Example Connector code is published we can install the Example connector to use with Athena:
Click on ExampleAthenaConnector application under the Private applications from Serverless Application Repository.
Follow the instructions listed below to enter the Application Settings:
Application Name: Leave it as default name - ExampleAthenaConnector.
AthenaCatalogName: The name for your catalog/lambda function in Athena. Enter example as the function name. Be sure to use a LOWER_CASE name for your catalog/lambda function. We will use this same function name when running the queries against the connector.
DataBucket: Put S3Bucket value from the cloudformation outputs here
SpillBucket: Put S3Bucket value from the cloudformation outputs here
DisableSpillEncryption: leave it as default value of false
LambdaMemory: leave it as default value of 3008
LambdaTimeout: leave it as default value of 900
SpillPrefix: Put athena-spill-example
It should look like this:
Click Deploy to deploy the connector.
